Hello friends! I am excited to tell you that Nelle's Notes has moved and be revamped to a new site! It's called fromtheyellowchair.wordpress.com. It was time for a change and a fresh start. Since I just graduated from college, I thought this would be the most appropriate time to start a new blog! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Blessings to you all! I hope you subscribe to From the Yellow Chair on the right hand corner of the site! That way you will be able to receive updates via email! Thank you for being a part of my life and listening to my life stories and words of perseverance! Blessings to you all!

Thank you Jesus for His success!

I can only do this with Him!
I can officially say that I am graduating!

Praise the Lord!

Yesterday, I had the privilege to say the opening prayer at my school's baccalaureate. It was a bitter sweet moment because I have yet to know my outcome of a very important test tomorrow, but I knew I needed to follow through with this. I am having faith that the Lord will have His way and that whatever the outcome may be, it will be in His hands. I have studied all that I can and taken as many practice tests that I could. It is up to the Lord! So here is my final prayer for the seniors and for this week as I go into some crucial exams...

The journey you have brought each one of us on is more than we could have ever imagined. As the class of 2011, we have shared a multitude of laughs, a handful of tears, and an overabundance of memories. David said in Psalms 118:5&14 that “In my distress, I prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” Just like you were David’s strength and you gave him victory, I know you have and will do the same for each one of the seniors who will walk across the stage next Saturday and receive their future blessing. Lord, I thank you for being our guide and for allowing Oklahoma Wesleyan University to bless each of us in a way that is individually designed for each person. God, this is where we continue our journey. This is not a stopping point for us but just another step into the plan you have etched out for each us. For blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayer – who trust beyond hope when all means have failed. Beloved Father, you have never failed to act but in goodness and love. Your love has always prevailed. I pray we hold fast to our faith and stand fast in your word. I pray we live for today. We live to honor You and let You lead. I pray that your blessing will be upon each of the graduating seniors and that there impact will forever plant seeds in the people who follow after.

I call her mom.

Happy Mother’s day to all the Mom’s out there! A special shout out of LOVE to my mom, Marcelle!!!
She is one of my best friends and greatest role models/inspiration! I love her and love who she is!
Some things she has taught me through out the years…
Make sure your outfit matches (this includes your shoes)
Always try to look your best… you never know who you will run into.
It’s always good to start your day with a little mocha mocha and feet up by the fireplace.
Always find a good deal! My mom is the best bargain finder!
Do your best and accept what happens… because everything happens for a reason.
It’s ok to plan ahead.
You can use your rear view mirror to help you drive.
Always put 10% of your money towards tithes and part to savings.
Never go to Hobby Lobby with the guys. What could be a 2 hour trip may only end up being 5 minutes.
You have to try on every pair of sunglasses and pair of shoes you love… go for Comfort!
Be hospitable to everyone. Serve those you care for and give to those in need.
Lead others and God will Lead You!
And most important… to LOVE Jesus, LOVE Family, and LOVE Others…

Life is not like this...
More like this often times...

Lord, please get me through these tests.
All you.
